Sue Wood has been active in music for over 30 years as both a piano and music theory teacher, as well as an accompanist. She studied at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, where she attained her Associateship in Piano Pedagogy in 1988. She revisited her classical piano performance studies in 2001 at the Vancouver Community College, where she attained her Music Diploma. She enjoyed an invitational year to focus on chamber music, as well as composition as a member of the VCC Gamelan Ensemble.

Sue built her home-based music studio in the Brechin Hill neighbourhood of Central Nanaimo. Maintaining ties to the lower mainland, she joined the piano faculty at the Richmond Arts Centre in 2016 for a two-year term. She enjoys working with students of ALL ages and abilities.

Sue became a member of the Mid-Island Chapter of the BCRMTA in 2013, and an executive member in 2016.
