Erika Wilson

Erika Wilson teaches piano, voice, theory and composition to students of all ages in the Nanaimo area. She holds a Bachelor’s of Music degree in Jazz Voice Performance, an ARCT Diploma in Piano Performance from the Royal Conservatory of Music, and recently completed Level 1 training in Somatic Voicework: The Lovetri Method, a vocal pedagogy method aimed at contemporary music styles. Erika loves helping people express themselves through music and is really enjoying being a part of the vibrant local branch of the BCRMTA!


Sue Wood

Sue Wood has been active in music for over 35 years as both a piano and music theory teacher, as well as an accompanist. She studied at the Victoria Conservatory of Music, where she attained her Associateship in Piano Pedagogy in 1988. She renewed her focus in classical piano performance and chamber music at the Vancouver Community College, where she attained her Music Diploma in 2003. Her in-home music business, Dreamtree Studios Nanaimo, is centrally located in the Brechin Hill neighbourhood. She enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. She joined the Mid-Island Chapter of the BCRMTA in 2013, and the branch executive in 2016. She believes in the importance of supporting community through volunteerism.

Susan Schleppe

Susan Schleppe has over 30 years of teaching experience and offers lessons in Classical and Contemporary Idioms and Theoretical Studies.  Provincial delegate for the past decade, Susan coordinates the bi-annual B.C. Piano Competition and the Young Artist Tour.  Being a part of the executive of the Mid-Island Branch provides a great opportunity to serve the members and students within the branch.  Music continues to inspire and open up new and exciting avenues for development.

Dianne Bohn

Dianne Bohn has been a member of the Mid-Island branch since 1980. She has an ARCT Diploma in Performance and Pedagogy (Teacher’s), as well as the ALCM Performance Diploma from the London, England College of Music. Dianne is an experienced independent piano / theory teacher of all levels and ages of students, as well as piano pedagogy for those seeking their Teacher’s Diploma. Her aim when President was to support and enhance the local BCRMTA Mid-Island Branch teachers in the development of young musicians in our community through programs, activities, and exciting and meaningful performance opportunities.
